funny story

In my bookshelf, there are a lot of books from the different genres. Half of my bookcase is comedy stories. I prefer reading this type because I can feel relaxing after a hard day. I remember a really funny short story which I love. The story began in the countryside of California. In the small house, there were little boys Billy and Bobby. They were brothers but they often had fights with each other. Last Saturday their mother said to them, “I’m going to cook our lunch now. Go out and play in the garden – and be good”. “Yes, mummy”, the two boys answered and they went out. In front of their house, there was a big yard and it usually the place where the family enjoyed the meal together. The boys played in the garden for half an hour. They were playing their favorite sport that was throwing the ball. Suddenly, their mother heard something. She said to herself “someone’s broken some glass”. After that, Billy ran into the kitchen. He was older then Bobby. “Mummy” he said “Bobby’s broken a window in Mrs. Allen’s house”- Mrs. Allen was one of their neighbors. “He’s a bad boy” his mother said “how did he break it?”. “I threw a stone at him” Billy answered “and he ducked”. It was really funny story and a little bit silly happened in there. However, from the funny I found out that never tell a liar or to lay the blame at somebody.

I used to have a nightmare which was a scary dream with me. It happened a long time ago since I was a child. I was dreaming that my family was in the holidays and we stayed at a small house near the beach. It had with many beds and another room for eating and cooking. I spent all day outside and played with my younger brother in the water. My mother made a picnic dinner. While she was making dinner, I was playing barefoot in the yard with my toys. Even now I still remembered the perfume of the flowers and the moisture of the grass. While I was sitting on the grass and playing with a truck, I looked up at sky and my attention was distracted by the beauty of the clouds. Then I felt something cold and smooth slide over my feet. I stayed perfectly still, but I looked down at my feet. Then I saw a snake slowly slithering over my toes. The snake which had a black skin was really long and big. I felt terrible and afraid, so my heart beat very fast. After the snake moved away, I screamed to my parents for help, and they captured the snake and took it away. They tried to calm me down and we sat on the sand to eat. After that, we went to the forest and had one night camp there. That night, we stayed together around the fire but I wasn’t there with them. I felt boring so I went deeply in the forest with the hope that I could discover something. Unfortunately, I lost and the weather started raining. A rain is like pure acid. Acid that can kill mercilessly. A little girl of no more than five years of age is with me. She has platinum blond hair and strange glowing blue eyes. I do not know her name nor have I ever seen her before now, but I am trying to help her. She is so small and innocent. We are running endlessly over the decaying corpses. The little girl then trips and the force of the fall rip her hand away from mine. I want to stop to help her, but the acid rain, it’s so close! There is nothing to be done but hope her death is a quick one. Unfortunately, it is not! I turn and call to her to keep moving! “Run! Crawl if you have to! Get out of the rain!” Too late… I know I should run, but I can’t! I’m frozen! Her screaming is so harrowing and terrible! No one should ever have to suffer like that. I watch in horror as the bubbling acid eats relentlessly through her soft young flesh, blood pouring down her arms like a red waterfall. I watch until her bones crumple and are finally gone all together. The black cloud approaches and I turn to flee. “That fate will not befall me!” My body aches as I run… “How long have I been running? Where am I going? I don’t know, but I hope I get there fast!” because of tired, I fell into mud. The situation was hopeless; I cried and screamed for help. That’s about it. However, the nightmare ends differently every time I have it and it never finishes completely.

What moves you ^^!

Everyone always change their character to adapt the new environment like be in the new school, company or place. Therefore, they needs some advises from people close to them such as family, friends and older people. Advices help them can move on in their life. Personally, I have received counsel from many people around me and the counsel makes me to move on.

2-3 years ago, I used to be a naughty and stubborn girl. I felt really lazy and always wanted to go out with my friends. Therefore, I didn’t study as much as my best and the teacher asked my parent for seeing them about my learning. I had hard argument with them about that and they were disappointed about me. In my heart, I didn’t want to hurt them so I studied harder. However, it was just enough for putting me in the top 10 in class. In the class, I and my friends made naughty action to stop the lesson so my parent always had called from school to make a meeting about my behaviour. After that, I had arguments and they didn’t allow me to go out until I was obedient. Nothing could stop me to do what I liked so I said:” I wanted to go out with friends and I made sure my scores will be best. They said:” We didn’t care about what you had done; we wanted you past High school entrance exam and proved with us that we could believe in your promises”. However, I failed the exam so I felt ashamed and repent of one’s haste with them. I said sorry and hoped they will accept but they were really disappointed over 1-2 weeks. To correct the fault, I start studying harder to past in another school which my parent had chosen. At this time, I pasted and realized that I made my parent sad so now I will make them be proud of me. In the new school, I realized more things and it made me have to get the best score. Now, I am not naughty and stubborn girl anymore and I want to study to be achievement in life. It’s only to make my parent proud of me.

Looking for Alibrandi shows us that teen years are the time of change

“Looking for Alibrandi” shows us that teen years are the time of change. Throughout the growing process, Josie changes her opinions, relationships about herself and the others. Therefore, she also discovers multiple things other than herself so its helps Josie to be out off her shell and gains a lot of important lesson from people around her.

In “Looking for Alibrandi”, Josephine’s opinions changes through experiences such as where she says:” The rituals of having to see my grandmother every afternoon drives me absolutely insane”, “The next minute we’ll be screeching at each of her “, “I was loved by two of the strongest women I would ever meet in my lifetime”. This shows that Josie changes her perspective of her grandma and mother. At first, she doesn’t like them to interact with her life but after a lot of things happen, she realizes they sacrifice their lives for her life “I was responsible for them. I was wrong in what I did yesterday”. It shows that Josie changes her idea about responsibility for the children. Josie thinks it was wrong but not necessary in the first place. However, she changes her thought after seeing the result and Josie realizes her actions are wrong and regrets it “She called me a wog. It made me feel pathetic”; “I’m an Australian with Italian blood flowing rapidly through my vein. I’ll say that with pride” These statements clearly show that Josie changes her ideas about her cultures and nationality. She hates being called a wog and doesn’t accept it. Josie beats Ivy for calling her a wog but then she changes her perspectives. Josie is even proud to say her nationality out loud if anyone asks her. Josephine is the teenager year; she has to go through much different kind of relationships. “I don’t want you anywhere near us, especially my mother”;” we’re only been to get him for a short time, but I feel as if I’ve known him for years”. Josie’s relationships with her father changes entirely from the beginning to the end. From the start, she doesn’t want him to be near her family but at last she realizes she needs a father in her life. “I’m immature and vain about my brain but you can’t imagine how wonderful it is to beat poison Ivy”; “we bump into each other one day, let’s have a cappuccino and talk”. It shows that Josie’s relationship with Ivy has changed permanently through times. Firstly, Josie and Ivy were enemies because of their arguments and hatred of each other, their immature mind. As they grew up, Josie realizes their childish and immature so Josie and Ivy are friends after the death of John Barton that brings them together, “I do believe in my heart that one day I’ll be with Jacob Coote again”, Jacob’s the one who Josie hates when she was a child but through many unexpected things happens. They become closer and date each other. The quotation shows her relationships with Jacob have changed from the beginning to the end. It shows that she wants to be with him again even they broke up.
