Money, Advantage or Disadvantage?

“Have you ever imagined being very rich, having a vast amount of money? How will you spend your money?”

Of course, you will admit that it could be very advantageous, but in my opinion, the answer relies on each different personality. This feature article discusses the positives and negatives of having wealth. No one can deny the strength of money. It can do many things, but it is not everything. Money is good or bad, depends on who owns it. The way they use their money will show the advantages or disadvantages that money brings to lives.

Money – Advantage :

There are many ways to become rich. People may inherit money or wealth from their families. They may win money from lottery; may earn it by themselves from their empty-hands. Once having a vast amount of money, people will have many choices. If they are wise, they will use their capital to invest. It will bring a lot of advantages to them, they will become richer. They will be able to take care of their family and their children by giving them the best conditions. If they are kind, they will help many other people like homeless and orphan children, they can donate to charity by giving their money. Those charities will be very grateful to them. If they like to enjoy life, they can buy whatever they want. Those are typical things which money can bring the material advantages to the people and their family.

In additions, money can also make a person famous.  Look at Donald Trump.  He has had several TV series and is on various programs on finance on a regular basis.  You only have to watch CNBC in the morning and you will see comments by whatever billionaire they can get on their show.  I saw both T Boon Pickens and Warren Buffet on the tube this morning.  If they were penniless bums nobody would care about their opinions.  This brings up another advantage of having money.

Money – Disadvantage :

On the other hand, having a vast amount of money also causes you troubles. When people have a gigantic sum, they may be dazzled. They are able to become vain about their huge property, haughty and disdainful. They won’t know how to use their money to their advantages. Instead, they squander money without thoughts. They spend lavishly on casinos and alcoholic. They are able to be corrupted and lead their life of pleasure. Worse than that, there may indulge in drugs, and social diseases. All these things are very bad and dangerous for their life. Their assets will be exhausted and they will become empty-hand soon. Good people don’t want to socialize with a person like them.

In other cases, if a people have a lot of money, they won’t love anyone, just only money. For them, money is the best power in the world, having it is having everything. Is it right? Of courses, it’s wrong because each one of us all know that there are many things can’t be bought by money. However, they don’t think so. They will use whatever is expedient to get money. It will be very dangerous. The wealthier they have the craftier and selfish they become. They will never help anyone without reward. They love no one, so no one loves them. It will be very difficult for them to receive any assistances from whoever when they really need. They will be alone with their oceans of money.

Moreover, being rich does have some disadvantages, perhaps when you’re rich, risk goes out the window, maybe somebody is planning to kidnap your relatives in order to earn some money. Clearly, the accounting system in your head tells you that you should save some money for some future purposes, but the temptation to spend it immediately is so much that you can’t resist and actually you go out shopping. Possibly, you will become materialistic. As a matter of fact, things will get boring, since you afford everything that money can pay, so you will participate on things that can entertain you. For example: risky things like gambling. That’s why there are people who get addicted to gambling. Risk is for those who can afford it.
